HopeHealth's New Facility in Florence

posted on Thursday, May 28, 2009

On December 9, 2008, HopeHealth opened its doors for the very first time in its new facility at 600 East Palmetto Street in Florence. HopeHealth wanted to be able to offer care to more patients and its facility size was a hindrance, so a new building was needed.

We discovered a potential new building on the edge of Florence's federally designated Medically Underserved Area. The location was perfect for HopeHealth's mission to increase access to comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare and to improve the health status of underserved and vulnerable populations in the Pee Dee community.

The preexisting state of the facility allowed builders to completely renovate the health center to the exact needs of HopeHealth. Now, HopeHealth's Florence location boasts state-of-the-art exam rooms, including a pediatric exam room sponsored by the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Florence Class of 2006 - 07, HopeHealth's own in-house pharmacy managed by Long's, and a laboratory staffed by LabCorp. The administrative, outreach, and case management personnel now have space to continue to grow Hope in the Pee Dee area, and the physicians are "going green" by using electronic medical records with HopeHealth's new extensive information technology network. With this new facility, HopeHealth can provide effective primary and specialty healthcare to more patients than ever before. Please stop by the community health center for a visit - you won't be dissappointed!
