- HopeHealth and the South Carolina Department of Health &
Environmental Control have partnered to employ a Medicaid
Eligibility Specialist to assist our current and new patients in
applying for Medicaid. We are pleased to offer this service at no
charge in our community health center beginning in February.
- The Board of Directors at HopeHealth recently approved plans
for a unique partnership with Francis Marion University to expand
our services and address the growing demand for primary health care
in and around Florence.
- Our community health center is pleased to welcome Patricia
Barrineau, MSN, APRN-BC. As our new nurse practitioner, Ms.
Barrineau is seeing patients under the tutelage of our Chief
Medical Officer, Dr. Brian Hanna.
- HopeHealth Edisto was awarded a $30,000 grant from the Central
Carolina AIDS Partnership. The grant will provide funds to offer
VOICES to residents of local housing developments in Orangeburg
County. VOICES focuses on condom negotiation skills and proper
condom use, with the hopes of decreasing rates of HIV infection
among at-risk populations and encouraging testing.
- The iH3 Wellness Center is launching a corporate wellness
initiative, and HopeHealth is pleased to be the first company to
engage in this program. HopeHealth employees will have the
opportunity to participate in a variety of activities to improve
wellness habits, increase physical activity and take classes it
improve their overall well-being. iH3 Wellness Center, in Lake
City, is an affiliate of HopeHealth and offers a holistic approach
to wellness that combines affordable fitness options, personal
attention from health professionals and a variety of therapeutic
approaches to prevent and treat chronic illnesses in our community.
The employee wellness program at HopeHealth is a pilot program that
iH3 anticipates offering to other corporate partners in the
community with the goal of reducing health insurance costs and
improving productivity, morale and overall employee
well-being.
